Tropical Cyclone

Today I learned that..Tropical Cyclone is a storm system characterized by a low-pressure center and numerous thunderstorms that produce strong winds and heavy rain. Tropical cyclones strengthen when water evaporated from the ocean is released as the saturated air rises, resulting in condensation of water vapor contained in the moist air.
I will apply my learnings about the...Tropical Cyclone in my daily life so that I can be prepared if ever it will occur.
Learning about Tropical Cyclone is important because it's effects may affect people's property or it can bring danger to people's lives. If we have enough information, we can be prepared.
On a larger scale, I will share my learnings about Tropical Cyclone  to others for them to know and to be knowledgeable about this phenomenon.

La Niña

Today I learned that...La Niña is a coupled ocean-atmosphere phenomenon that is the counterpart of El Niño as part of the broader El Niño-Southern Oscillation climate pattern. During a period of La Niña, the sea surface temperature across the equatorial Eastern Central Pacific Ocean will be lower than normal by 3–5 °C. In the United States, an episode of La Niña is defined as a period of at least 5 months of La Niña conditions.
